Check Before You Call

License, Bonding & Insurance

Check us before you let us in. We trade under Home Improvement Contractor License No. 420226000078, we're bonded and insured, there's a 60 to 90 day warranty on our work, and the certificate of insurance is yours on request.

What protects you on every job

All Purpose Plumbers is a trading name of All Purpose Anytime Services LLC, based at 6965 Heather Drive, Suite A, Bryans Road, MD 20616. The license, the bond, the insurance and the warranty all belong to that one company.

Home Improvement Contractor License No. 420226000078

All Purpose Plumbers is the plumbing brand of All Purpose Anytime Services LLC, which holds Home Improvement Contractor License No. 420226000078. The number is on this page so you can check it yourself before you call, and it appears on the written estimate.

Bonded

All Purpose Anytime Services LLC carries a surety bond, which protects you if contracted work is not completed as agreed. Bonding details are available with any written estimate.

Business liability insurance

Liability coverage is there for your property while our crew is in it. You can have a current certificate of insurance before the work starts, and one goes out with every commercial proposal.

Workers' compensation

Everyone on the job is covered by workers' compensation, so if someone gets hurt on your property, our insurance carries it and your homeowner's policy stays out of it.

60 to 90 day warranty on our work

Our work carries a 60 to 90 day warranty. The term depends on the job, so ask which one applies when you get your written estimate. A new water heater, disposal or faucet also has its own warranty from the maker, which is separate from ours. Ask who registers it.

Written price before work starts

We diagnose first, write the number down second, and only then start. If opening a wall shows something new, we stop and price it before going any further, so the invoice at the end matches what you approved.

Before you hire anyone

How to check a plumber, including us

Ask these four before anyone turns a wrench in your house. We'd rather you asked us all four too.

1

Check the license number

Ask any contractor for their license number and look it up with the issuing body before you sign. Ours is 420226000078, held by All Purpose Anytime Services LLC.

2

Ask for the certificate of insurance

A current COI names the contractor’s liability and workers’ compensation carriers, and anyone legitimate will hand one over. We send ours on request. Tell us who it should be addressed to.

3

Ask about the local plumbing license

In Montgomery and Prince George’s counties most plumbing and all gas work has to be done by a WSSC Water licensee, and the licensee has to give you the number. DC and Virginia have their own boards. Ask whoever you hire which one covers your address.

4

Get the scope, price and warranty in writing

Our estimate spells out what is being done, what it costs, what is not included and which warranty term applies. If a contractor will not put it in writing, that is your answer.

How a job runs from the first call to the handover is on our standards page. Photos from real jobs are under our work.

Every document in writing before you sign

The estimate is free. It carries the license number, the warranty term for your job and the price, and the certificate of insurance comes with it on request. Open every day, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
