What to expect
How every plumbing job runs
In our experience a bad plumbing job usually starts with a price nobody wrote down. So every job we take runs on the same rules, and this page lists them so you can hold us to them.
The written price rule
Nothing starts until you have, in writing, what is wrong and what it costs to fix. If it isn't on the estimate, it doesn't get billed unless you approve it first.
How a job runs
- 1
You tell us what is happening
Call, or use the form, and say what the plumbing is doing and in which room. After 7:00 PM, send the form or leave a message and we pick it up in the morning.
- 2
We schedule it
Urgent plumbing is scheduled within 48 hours and goes ahead of routine work. You get an arrival window by text, so nobody has to take the whole day off.
- 3
We find the cause
The plumber shows you where the fault is and explains it in plain words before talking about money. A hidden leak is traced to one spot before any wall is cut.
- 4
You get the price in writing
The estimate names the repair and every part, and nothing starts until you approve it. Should a wall turn up a second problem once it is open, work pauses while that extra piece gets its own price.
- 5
We do the work and test it
Pipes are pressure tested. Toilets are run through several cycles. New fixtures are run while someone watches the dry cabinet below, so a weeping joint is caught before we leave.
- 6
We clean up and hand over
Drop cloths and shoe covers go on first. Before we leave, the work area is cleaned and we walk you through what was done.
