Where do you work?
We work in the District, Northern Virginia and the Maryland suburbs, within 30 miles of Washington.
Our shop is at 6965 Heather Drive, Suite A, in Bryans Road, Maryland, in Charles County. Plumbers leave from there for Southern Maryland, Prince George’s County, Montgomery County, the city and the Virginia side of the river.
Crossing a jurisdiction line changes more than the drive. DC Water serves the District. Arlington County runs its own water distribution and sewer collection. In Montgomery and Prince George’s counties, plumbing and gas work runs under WSSC Water regulations. Each one has its own permits and its own rules about who owns which part of the service line.
That is why we confirm the address before we quote. A sewer lateral in Silver Spring and one in Alexandria can be the same pipe and still need different paperwork.
