Selling in Clinton? 8 plumbing problems home inspectors flag
By All Purpose Anytime Services LLC
The buyer's inspector will run every faucet and flush every toilet. Whatever they find becomes a repair request or a price cut. Find it first.
1. An old water heater
Inspectors read the label and note the age.
2. Slow drains
One slow drain gets noted. Several suggest a main line issue.
3. Running toilets
Easy to fix, and it looks bad in a report.
4. Leaks under sinks
Water stains in the cabinet get photographed.
5. Low water pressure
Especially at upstairs fixtures.
6. Loose toilets
A toilet that rocks points to a failed seal.
7. Corroded shutoff valves
If it won't turn, it gets written up.
8. Old galvanized pipe
Inspectors flag it because it closes up from inside.
Clinton specifically
Clinton runs from county water and sewer out to well and septic toward Rosaryville and the Woodyard. Know which you have before the inspection, because they're inspected differently.
