Do you charge for a diagnosis?
No. The visit where we find out what is wrong and write up the price is free. There is no trip charge and no call out fee attached to it.
The diagnosis tells you whether the toilet needs a new flapper or the drain behind it needs clearing, and whether a water heater needs a part or a replacement.
Skip it and you pay for guesses. Parts get swapped one after another until something works, and you buy every one of them.
There is one exception. A leak hidden inside a wall, ceiling or slab takes tools, time and a careful process to locate. That is leak detection, a job in its own right, and you get its price in writing before the search begins.
Either way, you know the cost of the next step before you agree to it.
